Safeguarding and wellbeing

At Butterfly Nursery, your child’s safety, happiness and wellbeing are at the centre of everything we do. Our team follow strict safeguarding procedures, maintain up-to-date training, and create an environment where children feel protected, respected and confident. Designated Safeguarding Leads are always available, and we work closely with Ofsted, the EYFS framework and local agencies to ensure every child is safe and well supported.

We believe children flourish when they feel secure, valued and understood. Our practitioners build warm, trusting relationships with each child, offering comfort, reassurance and guidance throughout the day. We focus on emotional wellbeing by helping children explore their feelings, build friendships, develop independence and learn kindness. Calm, homely rooms, a sensory space and well-designed outdoor areas give children safe places to play, rest and grow.

Partnership with families is central to our approach. We communicate openly, share daily updates and work alongside parents to support routines, transitions and individual needs. Whether through everyday conversations, developmental guidance or supporting children with additional needs, we ensure every child feels safe, seen and able to thrive at their own pace.
