Grasshoppers (age 3)

Building confidence and independence
Our Grasshoppers room supports children who are growing in confidence and independence.
With their own dedicated space, three-year-olds are encouraged to make choices, explore their interests and develop a stronger sense of self, while still receiving the reassurance and guidance they need.

Balanced support and freedom
We work to a 1:6 adult-to-child ratio, ensuring children continue to receive high-quality support while learning to work more independently.
Activities are designed to develop coordination, problem-solving and early learning skills such as recognising patterns, counting and understanding simple concepts.

Active, social learning
Children in Grasshoppers enjoy free-flow access to the garden and regularly play in the courtyard, where bikes and scooters are firm favourites.
These shared experiences help children build friendships, learn to take turns, compromise and recognise their own feelings and those of others, all while having plenty of fun.
